Hi everyone.
Ive been using EzDrummer for some years now. I like the different grooves and beats, although i tweak a lit to my liking… But when it covers to do my own breasts från scratch, i always find the hours behind to hard. Become obvious when i start mixing my tracks with guitars/ bass and vocals.
Snare/toms and cymbals way too much attack. The room mics are over flooded with a punchy snare and processing those track ( Oh Room and snare) is a hazel.
The drums sound good when tracking… Lowering the velocity sounds too weak. Even if i compare my tracks a with a real recording, without any processing on the kit pieces, those tracks have better starch/punch without sounding too hard…
I have tried to match MY velocity with the recorded velocity from the real drummers (library). But i never get satisfied. And yes, i know i can make the magic happen when i start mixing.🫣😄
So the question is: what velocity do YOU use on kit pieces?
The stye is metal/black meta/thrash. Mostly old scool
Best regards/Vayzeria
