using the alt-rock EZX on superior drummer?

I’m thinking about crossgrading ezdrummer 2 to superior drummer. two questions…

1. I have the alt-rock EZX. In superior drummer, would I have the same control over bleed when using the alt rock expansion? I want the alt-rock cymbals to bleed into all of the other mics (kick, snare, toms etc etc) – is this possible?
2. if i crossgrade, would i still be able to use ezdrummer as well as superior drummer?

Hi ravi,

1. No, you will have more control but there will not be extra material available, e.g. the Snare Top microphone in this EZX will not suddenly have HH, Kick, etc. bleed available, since it wasn’t there to begin with. You will e.g. be able to control the individual bleed volume for Kick, Snare, Toms, etc in the OH channel. You will be able to Send Direct and/or Bleed signals separately to Buses from OH and AMB channels.
2. Yes, they will both be available as they are two separate plug-ins and you do not have to surrender your EZdrummer 2 license.

It would have been amazing if there were enough samples captured from the sessions with Mr. Albini to also release this library as full Superior Drummer with the extra sample selection pool and mixing choices.

i completely agree! I’m hoping they did record all of the bleed but decided to release it as an EZX rather than an SDX…. and maybe at some point they’ll release it as SDX! one can only hope!
