Using an EQ on audio output with SD2

Hey guys, I run midi out from my drum module to usb into my laptop triggering SD2, then out to my loudspeaker. Its a very simple set up. I don’t record, I just play live drums. I want to use EQ and Compression plug ins on the drums to really fill the sound out. I run Reaper as my DAW. My question is can I buy for example a Waves plug in bundle and use them on the drums while playing live drums? Thank you
