trigger test?

i decided to start building my own edrum.

i have a few remo practice pads i have here that i’m starting to convert.

i have one question though – how do i test the piezo trigger without a drum module?

i have an alesis 4 input usb mixer and a voltage tester.

can i use either one of these to test the piezo trigger? and if so how would i hook it up?

I just wire a jack to mine and plug it into a guitar amp. Tap it a couple of times and you will know right away if its working. I would keep the volume on the amp at a low level when you plug it in though.
