Toontrack Solo 64 Error

Hey guys,

i haven´t used Toontrack Solo 64 for a while.  Today i startet it but an error occured : ” an error occurred in portaudio initialization, unantizipated host error. How can i fix it ? The Toontrack don´t start anymore.

which OS are you using?

Toontrack solo was discontinued some 6 years ago. so it supports up to Windows 10. Have you made any changes/updates to your OS lately?

Hi John,

i´m a it-technician and for over 30 years now and able to fix most problems by myself. On my DAW (HP-Z220 Tower, 16GB Ram, 128-GB SSD and 1-TB HD) i´m using Windows 10, which is up to date for 2023 (22H2).

Is it right, that Toontrack Solo doesn´t work anymore ? Or is there an update available ! I used Solo for inspiriing when jamin`to it while Kontakt was open with a VST. (Orange Tree Samples “The Famous Model E Fender Rhodes”). Would love to use it again. So, if there´s a chance to get it fixed, let me know ! If there´s another equal product from toontrack, that works, let me know too !
