So I just bought EZDrummer 3 weeks ago, and now Toontrack releases a version 2?? This really blows if I have to shell out more money for an upgrade.

You may be lucky, and fall within the grace period. Unlike my friend, whom I talked into buying EZ1 in the last week of Feb.
