TD-50KV into DAW (Digital Performer) to SP3 and E-Drums selected as Roland. All pads match as expected although I need to adjust the HighHat trigger points. SP3 sounds fantastic when I play the existing patterns or from my Midi keyboards but sound when play any drum or cymbal is weak. I have tried adjusting the velocity curves however there must be something I’m missing. Anyone??
If you adjust the velocity curves for the instruments, then the hits will be harder – thus the hits will be louder!

And altering the velocity settings within the Roland module from beyond the factory settings is not particularly helpful/realistic considering, if you want to revert to playing the module sound bank, you’d have to go it and change all the velocity profiles back for each trigger (right?). For the cost, this should be plug-and-play with a high-end drum module.
Are you sure you’re adjusting the velocity curves, in SD3, for the correct midi note? I’ve noticed when adjusting the curves, it won’t do anything. Then I realized it’s because certain drums, are assigned to a different midi note in SD3. To get it to match up perfectly with your module, you may need to change the e-drums preset.
