The problem I’m having is that Superior isn’t loud enough when triggered through my TD-20.
I’ve adjusted the sensitivity in the module and velocity in SD 2.0 (and yes the windows sound is at 100%)
If I turn the sound up on Superior it is decent volume but the kick is still lacking but if I turn the volume on the kick or any other instrument up then that instrument sounds distorted and muddy.
So to try and alleviate this problem I tried running a cable from my pc’s onboard sound 1/8 jack to the module line in or drum amp.
But with these I get a horrible static crackling above ~30% volume.
Ive thought of purchasing a sound card but am unsure if this will fix the Superior distortion or static from the computer?
My spces
TD-20
Simmons DA200S Amp
Ploytec GM5 Midi One cable
Superior Drummer 2.3.0 64 Bit
Host: Toontrack Solo
Windows 7 64 Bit
Onboard sound
ASIO4ALL drivers
Any bit of help would be apperciated, I purchased Superior for real time triggering and am very frustrated.
Hi,
I would guess your main problem is the onboard sound card. If you run Superior 2 with grooves from the Groove Browser, is it the same? Or is it only when you trigger sounds?

Yea its the same with grooves or when I click the instrument in the construct window. The only really way to descripe it is like when you have an a mediocre audio system and you max the volume and it just sounds like crap. But my headphones are fairly decent so i know they can handle it.
I’m hoping a sound card will fix my feedback/static issue and sound quality.
Do you have any sound cards to recommend? Something that won’t break the bank and ASIO support, I appreciate your help.
consider external sound devices. They are pretty cheap and like with my Presonus audiobox USB its away from my PC which helps with static and hum!
