Superior Drummer 3.25 plugin will not activate in Pro Tools 12.3.1 Windows 10

Updated to Superior Drummer 3.25 two nights ago and Superior Drummer 3 plugin will not activate in Pro Tools 12.3.1 Windows 10.

 

I get

AAE error-14018 and

Plug-in made inactive because of insufficient system resources

 

I’ve never had a problem with any Toontrack product updates till now.

Is anyone besides me having this problem?

Hi guys,

please try this:

1. Close Pro Tools.
2. Press Windows key plus R.
3. Enter “C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Avid\Pro Tools\” (without the quotes), and click on OK.
4. Manually delete the InstalledAAXPlugIns file (to force a complete new plug-ins scan).
5. Re-open Pro Tools.

I’m having a similar/the same problem, and deleting the InstalledAAXPlugins file didn’t resolve the issue.

Picked up an EZBass expansion today and updated all my toontrack products in the product manager, now neither SD3 and EzBass of them are functioning in Pro-Tools 11.3.0. EZkeys loads as does EZDrummer. All are loading fine in Reaper.

Full text of the dialog box:

The Plugin could not be made active because a AAE error was encountered.

AAE error -14018 was encountered

I’m sure you are doing things correctly but I must still ask; are you inserting the plug-in on a Stereo Instrument Track?

Yes. This has been manifested in many ways.

Instances of SD3 in existing sessions error out despite working previously. Creating new (stereo) instrument tracks and adding either SD3 or EZB does the same. I’ve attempted with mono and EZB but the track converts to stereo and errors out.

Toontrack gave me 3.24 back and I’m up rocking again.

I think they are working on a fix.

Can someone from Toontrack confirm a fix is coming? Can’t even use SP Drummer at all.
