Snare Sound on a Custom Kit

I have a snare sound on a custom kit I found…

The snare has more of a metallic sound to it that I don’t like. I like it’s loudness and crack, but I don’t like that metallic sound. Too much of a ring to it. Maybe I am explaining it wrong, but I don’t know enough about drums to really know what it is.

Is it just the sample? Or is there a way in the SD2.0 Mixer to fix that? I like the snare here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2kzIRIyH4k, I’d like more of a sound like that..

Anyways, any help would be appreciated!

I don’t have the custom kit but have many other EZD’s. Have you tried the drop down menu on the snare to try other choices? And I also use the pitch and turn it down slightly to get a fatter snare…. Also check out this Vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPWapW2-4P4

Yes, I tried different snares, but there were only 2 other options to choose from. And the one I picked sounded best. I’ll give your tip a try when I get home. Thanks!
