is it possible to put the SDX Libraries on an external hard drive to free up space on the computer’s hard drive? How would you then use the libraries seamlessly?
Yes. You link to your individual SDXs (you can use as many hard drives as you wish) by going to Settings > Library/Paths.
There you can see where your libraries are so you can drag (Cut/Copy) to a new hard drive. And then use the same settings area to relink them.

Thanked by: Rykshade and Scott EshlemanYes, usually you can move SDX libraries to an external drive to free up space. In the software’s settings, change the library/content location to the external drive and let it rescan the files.
For the best experience, use a fast external SSD and keep it connected whenever you use the libraries.
