I’m not having this exact issue, but can confirm that it does not appear to be possible to downgrade to 3.1.7 through the normal channels. The uninstallers for both versions are not supported in Catalina and the 3.1.7 installer straight up does not work.

    Hi Jonathan,

Do you have the same issue with other libraries as well? Are they all on the same disk?

Was anything else changed or installed on your computer between using 3.1.7 and using 3.2.0?

Yes same issues, yes all on same disc.

I added a few other plugins in that time frame but 3.1.7 worked fine with them.

    Issues only started with 3.2.0

EZ Bass and EZ Keys are on same drive and load perfectly.

Hm, very strange. Please contact support for help to downgrade to 3.1.7, although I hope you didn’t install the SD3 sound library update because the library then requires 3.2.0…

I have almost the same issue. My song, save file and kit does not open, because 3.2.0 crashes at load. It does not matter if I open it standalone or with Studio One. I have sent the files to support, but no answer or any kind of reaction. Now my project is totally stuck. It seems that downgrading to 3.1.7 would require downloading of about 50 gigabytes of samples. 3.2.0 sound set is not compatible to 3.1.7. Should I really do this download?

I have included the problem kit.

Any progress on this issue? I contacted support a week ago and have received no answer.

I did get a reply with some suggestions to try after they read my error logs.

it could be something with my disk (but I doubt that as there’s no other problems except for SD3)

however, I’m on vacation for the week so I can’t try anything till Monday

    Update…

It’s something with my external firewire drive. SD3 won’t load sounds out of it. Moved all my libraries to a new drive (massive PITA) and it works fine.

Not sure what’s up with my firewire drive. With the exception of an occasional H/W buffer error in Pro Tools, there’s been no issues with the drive. Jus the SD3 libraries got corrupted somehow. Trying to open the png files makes Preview hang.

Thanks for the update, Jonathan. I suspected it was something like that.

This should be fixed in version 3.2.1 which has been released now.

I am having issues as well. I have SD3 installed on a Macbook running MacOSX Sierra. I have upgraded to High Sierra and reinstalled SD 3 on a larger drive. I had created a number of sets on the older drive and saved them off. I placed the sets on this new larger drive. I open SD3 and it loads fine. I then select one of my older formatted kits. It says it loads it up, but the set on screen is still the same and none of my older setups seems to work. What gives?

I think you’d better contact support, and explain to them what you mean by sets and how they were saved – if they are some kind of user presets or projects.
