Hi,
the Grid-Editor of Superior Drummer 3 lags while using it inside of Reaper. I’m trying to use Superior Drummer 3 with multiple stereo sends out to channels to edit them inside of the DAW and bounce them when they are ready.
While editing i noticed the grid editor jumps and doesn’t respond to mouse-inputs properly. This blocks working with the editor. I’ve looked into the performance-view to see if my CPU/RAM is fully charged but i can’t see any problems. I’ve got a CPU-Load of less then 2 % in my whole mix and have 12 GB of RAM left. The Kit- and Mixer-Views are working fine and smooth but the Grid-Editor lags incredibly. Even if i’m playing the grooves internally it does lag.
Standalone-Mode works fine as long as i don’t use the same project. A new project including only SD3 with exact the same settings and sends is fine too.
It seems to be something including the project-settings and loaded kit as well as the meter/daw-sync. I’ve selected “Follow Host” and set it to 6/8th like the project itself. After this setting it starts lagging.
I’ve even tried to freeze all other tracks (render and put FX-Offline to free resources) but it did not work.
How can i improve the performance of the plugin? Did anyone else observe such behaviour?
Best regards,
Ian
