Hi,
When I load any preset in my SD3 Custom & Vintage set, I get a Missing Libraries error: SL-AVATAR instruments. I’ve redownloaded and installed everything. I can select to load without missing file and it seems to play fine. What do I need to do to fix this?
Some of the C&V presets require the NY Avatar library that was included in S2.
When the C&V SDX was released, this wasn’t an issue as S2 was required to use it. However, since not everyone has S2 at this point, some of the presets no longer work. They will load, and there is nothing wrong with the install per se, just the stacked NY Avatar sounds won’t load.

Ok…so, If I like the preset (as is)…can I just load it without the missing…etc…and then just re-save/name it so that the error dialog box won’t come up?
You might need to remove the Avatar stacks before saving.

The Avatar stacks in C&V are mainly used as the ambience replacement trick, more due to the dryness of 2KHz Studios. You’d probably get similar results replacing the stacks with one of the SD3 kit pieces and using the same ambience replacement trick.

Thanked by: ScottI’m unfamiliar with the terms “stack” and “ambience replacement trick”. Could you please elaborate on this? I’ve never messed with any of the folders or deep settings in SD3.
So, which of the NY expansions fixes the preset issue? I see that vol 1 & 3 are both at Avatar studios. Do either of these fix the issue or would both be required?

The S2 Core Library is the NY Studios Vol. 1
