Roland VH14D hi hats with SD3

Hi all, I have a Roland TD27 module in line with my SD3 software and all is good, Im thinking of buying the Roland VH14D digital hi hats for this set up. I know these digital hats will be a huge leap from my VH-11 hats, but I dont really use the module sounds for playing, its always SD3. Will SD3 give me all the advance feel and playability that the VH14D hats can provide? Thanks in advance.

Yes, I would say the VH-14D is still a worthwhile upgrade for SD3. You will get much better hi-hat position and open/closed response but you may need to adjust the MIDI mapping in SD3 to take full advantage of it. The TD-27/SD3 combination should work well once properly configured.

Use the  V71 preset to get the proper use out of the hats. It opens up the bell articulation.
