‘Roid Rage’ – Concept Car

Hello everyone.

Concept Car is my solo project and this is the first tune I released. This is also the first time I’ve used a DAW/mixed my own music and while I like to think I’ve done a good job, SD3 has undoubtedly made things significantly easier for someone as inexperienced as myself. I’m using SD3 within Logic Pro X and opted for the Pearl Masterworks kit on this track. Guitars (Gibson Les Paul Studio and Hagstrom Viking) were going through a Cornford Roadhouse 50 > Two Note Captor > Apollo Twin, and I used a UAD Ampeg SVT emulation for the bass (Rickenbacker 4003). I mixed the whole project on a pair of old Audio Technica M50 headphones and got my friend to master it for me. See what you think:

Hahaha, it’s very much inspired by all that stuff, so I’m glad it came across 🙂
