Reinstalling Ezdrummer 2 on New Computer

Hi all

Apologies if this has come up somehwere before. I’ve just done a clean install on my laptop, wiping everything in it’s path. I’m currently in process of installing all of my programs, including EZD2.

I’ve downloaded the latest version from the Toontrack site and all of my EZX libraries, however, do I need to download the original EZ Drummer and install this first before I reinstall EZD2?

I upgraded from EZD1 so am wondering by just downloading and installing EZD2 will things such as midi libraries and the default expanison kits be exlcuded? I can see that the cocktail kit is missing for example.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

When you upgrade to EZdrummer 2 (from version 1) the Pop/Rock library (that was included in EZdrummer 1) becomes an EZX and is added to your account (so that you can install it again in the future if you ever need to without installing EZdrummer version 1).

The Cocktail EZX is under the Updates tab for the EZdrummer 1 product in your My Products section of your Toontrack account.

Thanks for the prompt reply, I downloaded th Cocktail kit; no problem.

Forgive me if I’m being silly, but where is the Pop/Rock library and/or EZX? Is this within the ‘EZdrummer2 Modern/Vintage’ library and ‘Vintage’ drum kit respectively?

No. The Pop/Rock EZX was supposed to have been automatically registered to your account with your EZD2 upgrade. Doesn’t look like that happened. I’ll wire you one as soon as I’m at my computer. I’m on my phone at the moment.

If you have EZdrummer 1 registered to your account, the Cocktail EZX should be available as an extra through the Toontrack Product Manager, via the EZdrummer 1 > Show details > Extras section.
