    Hi Matt,

Which DAW are you using? Did you manually move the .dll after initially installing SD3?

    Hi Brad.

Cunard 10 Pro. Nah, I recently installed EZBass and there was an update for SD3, so while I was there I updated and it wasn’t until  I was in a project in Cubase and I needed to change some drum parts that I came across the message. The drum parts work in the project but if I need to open SD it gives me that message.

    appreciate the input mate.

If you need to re-install then you only need to re-install the software/plug-ins. Make sure Cubase is pointing to the proper location. Launch SD3 standalone, open its Help menu and choose Show Plug-In Path. Insure that Cubase is pointed the location indicated there. Hopefully Cubase keeps plug-in settings within each session. Sorry I don’t use Cubase.

There is some more Cubase info here; https://www.toontrack.com/faq/how-do-i-set-the-path-to-my-toontrack-plug-in-in-cubase/

Cheers! I’ll give it a try. This is my first update with SD so if you have had previous updates, have you had to reinstall? I have two projects to give to a client in a week and I don’t won’t to have to start all the drums coz the bloody update has scrapped current ones!  I was happily using SD until the update.

Honestly I’ve never had reinstall after updating. What is the exact message you’re getting?

The installed resources and the plug-in are not the same version
    Plug-in version 3.2.2
    Version of resource 3.2.4
    Please reinstall SD3

That usually indicates that the location product manager installed SD3  and the location Cubase is looking for it is different. I would recommend making sure they are aligned before reinstalling.

Here’s a similar thread, check Olof’s answer for clarity.

Thanks Brad. You were indeed right!! I have moved some dll’s around and that seems to have worked, don’t know why it changed suddenly but who cares, it’s fixed! Happy new year to ya and let’s hope it’s better than that last one!
