    I can’t answer all your questions but I can offer the following:

    2. I don’t use Audacity but as long as it accepts Midi data you should be alright. Also, a MIDI keyboard is totally not needed to use this software.

    3. This software is as easy as its name suggests. You don’t program any actual beats…you just drag and drop beats into your sequencer to arrange your drum track. Couldn’t be more simple.

    Regarding Audacity and Windows 7 64 bit, you really need to check Toontrack’s supported hosts list before buying EZdrummer.
    I don’t use either, but it’s also not true to say as long as your host supports midi you can use EZdrummer.
    Secondly, just to clear up, yes EZdrummer comes with pre-programmed midi, but of course you CAN programme your own drum parts, or edit the midi Toontrack provides.

    AFAIK Audacity doesn’t support VSTi (EZdrummer is a VSTi).
