Since updating Windows 10 to build 1903, I am experiencing regular crashes of EZDrummer 2. Using Cubase Artist 10, but also crashes with Standalone. The consistent trigger for the crashes is Program Change messages from my Roland TD-50 kit. Dump file attached.
I have a gig next weekend, a fix before then will be greatly appreciated.

Can you zip the file and try to attach that instead? Might be some issues with the file format…

Struggling here to upload the file. In this attempt I’ve renamed the file from a .dmp extension to a .txt extension.
Best regards,

Hm, nothing gets attached 🙂
I’ll do a test here to see if uploads works as intended…
Edit: we seem to have a bug, it didn’t work for me either. I’ll get back to you when have fixed this bug!

Trying upload again.
Update: I spent a bit of time cycling through the preset kits using the spinner buttons on the kit selector – no issues. So it would seem the issue is only affected by midi program change messages.

If you want to, you can upload the project now, the upload malfunction has been fixed 🙂 It may help us finding out why it crashed, to fix the bug for coming EZd2 updates.

The programmers that can debug your attached project are on vacation, and will be back early august. If you can’t continue to work until then, please respond back here. Or else we’ll do the debug when the mighty coders return!

Hi,
I’ve examined the dump file and unfortunately it doesn’t say much. I think two dump files are generated for each of these crashes, and we need the first one, which contains “[64-bit VST]” in the filename.

Hello Olof,
The previous log files have been deleted, probably by system cleanup processes. I set about causing a new crash to collect the files, but it didn’t happen. I was hitting it quite hard, but it behaved as it should, and appears now to be quite robust and stable. The only thing that’s changed since the original issue is that there has been 3 windows updates applied, but nothing else I can think of.
I think this issue can be closed. If there is any re-occurrence I’ll raise it again. Many thanks.
Cheers… Donny
