Something I’ve noticed for years. Any explanation or observation would be great.
When placing an Opening Hit in Edit Play Style, I would like to know what decides its velocity. When you select the articulation menu on the floating opening hit feature, it says “intensity”. I don’t know why that is there.
When placing Opening Hits I’d like to think it should be loud like an accent, or try to match the velocity of the Groove I’m working with. But often it does not. I have to go into the Grid Editor and change the velocity to what I need. Which defeats the purpose of using Opening Hit in the first place, to save you time from the Grid Editor of it’s simply for users who don’t want to use it.
I get that we have to go into the Grid Editor to get what we need. But if it’s a hard hitting song and the Opening Hit is so light you barely hear it, it leaves a negative impression to the user.
It’s a great concept. Am I missing anything to get Opening Hit to work better? Or is this it?
