Hi there. I am new to all of this and I using AI to help guide me through steps. I have watched some introductory videos etc. but struggling with basics.
I have a basic country drum track that was created in SUNO – I have both the WAV file and MIDI. Its isolated drums. Its good quality, clean and sounds fine when I play the audio.
I have tried two options for this:
- I’ve dropped the audio in Bandmate. I would think since its drums only Bandmate would find the track, sync it up and recreate something similar, hopefully better, but the result is a track that is completely out of sync with the original track. Doesn’t detect the downbeat, starts in the wrong place, plays multiple measures over the end, etc.
- I’ve tried importing the MIDI and its completely mapped wrong. I get a bass drum and crash cymbals. Gemini AI tried to talk me through mapping the MIDI or something but it kept pointing me to stuff that wasn’t on the screen, icons that didn’t exist etc.
If there are tutorials on this topic, I am happy to go watch. I have watch two and neither one has this issue. The videos show dropping audio in, like a bass or guitar, and it creating a perfect track. Why cant it create a perfect track from drum audio?
I tried to attach the drum audio but its a WAV and its too big. One thing that I did notice is that the SUNO track doesn’t have the hi-hat. I was hoping EZD3 would add that in for me.
Any help is appreciated.
