Is it possible to install only the EZKeys application & plugins? As the title says, I already have the sound libraries & MIDI on an external drive, but it doesn’t seem possible to uncheck the sound libraries at the Custom Install step.
Once I have the application and plugins installed, with the Program Manager showing all my EZKeys MIDI uninstalled, what do I do about them? Is it possible to “find” them within the application or plugins?
Thanks

If you run the application installation file (exe for windows), rather than using the launcher, you can choose what you will install and where they will install to. Again, run the exe file (Windows), without using the Toontrack Launcher, you’ll be able to do that. Hope this helps.
I’m on a Mac. Under My Account / My Products, there’s an option for Product Manager or Web Version. When you say application installation file, are you referring to the Web Version (I’m guessing not)? If not, can you provide a bit more info? This might be a difference between Windows & Mac installations.
When I use the Web Version, it does show the sound libraries as already installed but not authorized on this computer. But when I go to authorize, I’m asked for a computer ID. What would that be? And simply clicking “Next” under each MIDI expansion updated those as installed.
Seems I’m only left without the authorization on this computer, at least according to the Web Version. The Product Manager still shows all the sound libraries and MIDI expansions as uninstalled. And I still don’t have the actual application or plugins installed.

Hi,
it works the same as with EZdrummer 2.
You should be able to follow these instructions but just switch ‘EZdrummer’ to ‘EZkeys’.
If you delete the EZkeys folder on the internal drive before launching EZkeys standalone, the app will ask you to locate the ‘EZkeys’ folder.
Please ask if you don’t understand.

John

I’m not in front of the computer now to try this, but one hurdle I see is that I don’t have the EZKeys stand alone app to launch. That’s what I’m missing. How do I install that (and plugins), but without installing the sound library?
Pardon, but I’m just not getting this.

In PM, click the Details of one of your EZkeys products.
On the Downloads tab, there is the Full Product Installer and there’s the Updates. Under Updates, you should see the EZKeys Player Download.
Download and Install this, then launch and point.

Thanked by: Brooks HUnfortunately I’m not familiar with Mac systems at all so I’m at a loss. I wish I could help more. Sorry friend.

I’m looking at the Web Version on another CPU, but I see that. Sweet!
Thanks

Oddly the installer wouldn’t allow me to install the player; I forget the message. But reinstalling & activating one of the libraries – I directed it to my desktop as to not disturb my existing file, then deleted it – magically located everything, updating their install & activated status.
Thanks again!
