I’m sure some folks have suggested it before, but I think the time is right for a Reggae / Ska themed EZX. Something with grooves covering a range from Sly Dunbar to the unique adaptations of Stewart Copeland and more. Maybe include a set of just high-hat grooves with subtle variations that are used like a percussion track, a mix of electronic and vintage drums or a couple of unique things like the Sonor “jungle snare” Remo “mondo” snare (hand/finger patterns?) Traditional, progressive, and uptempo ska. The kit could feature extra options like timbale(s), octabans, tuned bells or blocks, surdo, bata, or a selection of Copeland-esque spashes, ice-bells, or his signature ride and snare as options as well as some electronic kicks, hats, etc. effects could be spring reverb, space echo (tape delay) and maybe tape saturation or a “touch of vinyl” type of effect like the Funkmasters EZX.
Something that not only expands the sonic palette into more “world music” territory, but crosses over into pop and stays around that reggae vibe.
Creativity is a Work Ethic.
