Hey, I don’t use Logic, but I have GB installed on one of my Mac images. I didn’t find EZDrummer or SD3 in the list on the left hand side, but when I go into the track itself it shows up on the list there. It’s an odd way to find it. I don’t know if you’e tried that, but thought I would chime in and start some where.

It’s not showing up in Audio Units at all.

There is this thread from a couple years ago. One user shut down Logic, moved his AU plug-ins to his desktop started and stopped Logic, then moved them back.

    https://www.toontrack.com/forums/topic/ez-drummer-2-audio-unit-not-available-in-either-logic-x-or-ableton-live-9/

Maybe there’s something in there to try.

I use AU plug-ins with Studio One, and they are working fine.

Well, you fixed it.  You pointed me in the right direction.  So, EZDrummer wasn’t in the same AU list as everything else I have downloaded in AU such as Guitar Rig.  In the track bit where it says what the AU is for the track, I click on the up/down arrows and EZDrummer is in THAT list.  Weird, it shouldn’t be there.  Of course, the first time I found it I got a EZDrummer message box that something was wrong with the midi and I needed to update but there was nothing to update.  So, I had to uninstall EZDrummer and download it again and THAT put me in the loop again in Project Manager where I had to download and install but kept getting messages that I still needed to download and install and update.  I spent a couple of hours doing that again like I did the first time.

What a hassle.  I’ve never had this much trouble trying to get a program on my computer and working.  Everything just worked right out of the “box”.  I don’t see how I could recommend this to anyone unless you like being in a hamster wheel and spending hours just trying to get the program loaded on your computer.  I literally spent more than eight hours working on this.  I was at the point of wanting my money back.

So, thanks Brad.  I appreciate your help and suggestions.  I would never have found EZDrummer on my computers if not for you.

    Hi William,

please make sure you are updated as well by using the Product Manager. You first post lists your EZdrummer 2 version as 2.0.2 which is really old, the current version is 2.1.8.

    John

Cheers William, glad we got it figured out and it’s working ok now. Hopefully it’s working in Logic as well.

John, I have Product Manager on both of my computers.  I’ve downloaded and installed and updated EZdrummer multiple times and have been caught up in that feedback loop where I downloaded it and installed it and updated it but I keep getting the red boxes in PM telling me that I still have to perform those tasks again.  And again.  And again.  And again.  And again. It gets a bit irritating when I spend HOURS doing that.  I’ve NEVER had these problems with any other music programs.  It’s a simple purchase, download and maybe an update and they work.  I can’t be the only one.

I got caught in the loop too. I just quit and restarted PM. It sorted itself out, for me.

I quit PM, too, many times on both computers but I still had to do it all over and over again.  I rebooted my computer, restarted both Logic and GarageBand as well as deleted cache files.  I’m glad it’s over for now but I sure hope I don’t have the same problems others seem to be having as indicated in the other threads.
