These EZX packs are not installing to the right location on the new machine… anytime i install then authorize then move an EZX it shows not installed in TT manager. This is the dumbest nonsense i have ever seen in my entire life in software installs. And why is this installing to the most basic root of the drive when i specifically assigned it to install in the folder it should install?
In installation info in tt manager, for anything EZ drummer related or the EZX packs, there is no drop down under installaton info to change path as there is for superior. this is madness.
In EZD3, locate is completely dimmed out under paths. Even after it says manually move the folder then come back to click locate. This is lunacy.
I have never seen this level of fault in software file management before with no option to re-direct where the path points to. Is this some sort of practical joke? Even in superior 3 Locate is dimmed out under additional libraries.
Does it show the location paths, for both audio and midi ?
You on Windows or Mac ?
Did you move your EZD samples using the method here?

Hi,
installing an EZX and moving it will not work. Relocating the entire EZdrummer repository of EZX:s and MIDI at once should.
I just tried moving the entire ‘EZdrummer’ folder, as per the instructions in the FAQ and in EZdrummer 3 and it worked as expected.
What happens when you click the ‘Show in Finder/Explorer’? Which path does it point to?
Are you on Windows or macOS?

Hi John, its windows 10. the path it points to is the E: Samples top directory. root of E drive. Its the only place. It looks very messy this way and should be in it’s own folder not in the top starting directory of the drive. I have previously from Superior 3 had a TTDrums Folder i made for all the stuff. But i decided to just reinstall. Nothing goes to that. and TT manager shows not installed when i move it to there. Locate folder (under sound and midi libraties) is always greyed out regardless if i click on it before moving or after moving. no option to click it it is dimmed out. I also have superior 3 installed.
reinstalled it from scratch. upon opening says no library found.
Actuaally superior 3 is having the same issue when it comes only to the EZX libraries. under additional libraries. it greys out Locate folder. Cannot locate or relocate anything EZX related. When i move folders not found and still greying out locating stuff. This is unacceptable.
This is what i do with my time instead of making music. Great stuff! Very high end!

When you received the message no libraries found, it should give you the option to browse to the location you have moved your EZDrummer folder

yes it does and then when clicking on open settings the Locate Folder option is greyed out under sound and midi libraries. click on the three lines and it says to change the path, move the folder in explorer then click locate. i do that in explorer, move it. go back to the three line drop down and locate folder is greyed out.
in addition, when i uninstall ezd3, and reinstall, when i install it says Ez3 core library is not installed yet. Not true at all. it is installed, i installed it first. why is this software intall not showing upon install where we will store libraries? This would prevent all these issues.

Can you post a screen print of the folder you want your sound library in?

looks like it finally has worked now. had to move everything to the original root it tried to point it all to then opened the software so it connected it all. then closed the software. then moved all of it back to where i need it… then opened the software again then got that pop up but in settings i saw some other yellow sign or text accompanying in the libraties place of settings then locate folder became lit up bright again.
I would suggest this thing be modified so that install paths can be selected on install as opposed to where the folder was downloaded as a default.
what i believe has fixed this was when i uninstalled, i then reinstalled by clicking on the actual installer file as opposed to doing it from tTT manager. but not only that, i moved that downloaded folder (the EZ3 installer downloaded off TT manager) into the place i wanted it (i think). this must be using the registry to point to old former spots.
on top of this now the TT manager says the download folder doesnt exist.. Now im definetly lost. But anyways i think i just changed this to the right place now.
But the fact that the ability to locate or not depends on the location of the downloads folder set from TT manager is a major issue with the directory of how this works.
