I am new to the EZ drummer 2, i am having a hard time figuring out the difference between Midi packs and the EZx .. Take for example the rock solid EZX and the Rock solid midi pack why would i but one over the other ?? I have purchased the Rock solid EZX and love it but if im going to add to my arsenal why would i but the Midi packs.. Sorry i know this may sound stupid please if someone could enlighten me on the two… Thank You

In a nutshell, EZX expansions include sound samples of drum kits
AND MIDI performances (in the form of ‘grooves’).
The EZX’s can be upwards of 2GB or more.
MIDI groove packs contain ONLY the drummer’s recorded drum performances in MIDI form. No samples.
Typically, 2 – 10 MB
I’m not sure that is entirely true. For example, the southern soul EZX and the soul midi pack have different grooves. They were marketed together but clearly have different grooves from one another.
However, to be fair, I am wondering the same about the Blues EZX vs. teh Blues midi pack.
