If you use the “Octave -” button on your keyboard you can access it. Note that the tambourine and shaker are so called “future hit” instruments and aren’t easily playable live.
MIDI has 127 assignable keys, while the largest keyboards only have 88 (going from MIDI key 21 through 108), so in order to access the notes in the periphery, you need to transpose your MIDI keyboard.
Assuming EZD2 recognizes that your keyboard is plugged in, which can be checked in the Settings>Audio/Midi Setup>Midi Device Menu (or in midi peripherals/settings if using a DAW and make sure your track is armed). You simply hit the second octave of the D# key on your keyboard. If you need visual confirmation that you’re hitting the right key, go to Main Menu>About Sound Libraries>Select the Kit/EXZ you’re using>Midi Layout. D#2 is also known as the midi number 3 in this specific case.
Advanced notes:
If you’ve made it this far and have trouble triggering the Tambourine or Shaker correctly that is because you’re dealing with Futurehit. To avoid Futurhit characteristic, only trigger velocities under 41.
