Midi challenges

I know this topic has been covered and I’ve tried researching it for hours and I’ve had no success. First off I’ve had great success for over 4 year’s with SD3. I am using a TD-17 with windows 11 and a Komplete audio 2 interface.

I recently purchased rooms of hansa and as a result moved all sd3 files to an external hard drive because of space. I successfully installed everything and all is visible and playable. One newer challenge is my download times are very slow in comparison. The bigger challenge is midi, I have banged my head and have tried many various fixes with no success. In the midi-e drums setting “waiting for midi” message unless I use learn function then notes appear. In the drum screen there is no on/off for midi, or voice and layer? I can no longer exchange instruments in “user instruments” that now have no sound? I have updated everything, even uninstalled audio interface, updated drivers, ect.  There must be something I’m missing?

What are the specs on your external drive (type, etc.) and how is it connected? Do you have a virus checker running that checks stuff all the time? You don’t need to use the learn function for notes to appear in the MIDI in edrums window – just hit a pad on your ekit. You can turn on and off articulations by going clicking on the ‘all articulations’ button and you’ll get a window with power buttons for each articulation for that kit piece. Lastly is there anyw ay you can have your screenshots show right side up?

Unionsine 1 TB external hard drive, usb into side port of laptop.

apologize for the upside pics..not sure how they loaded that way, so I turned them upside down and they loaded that way..lol

The problem of loading times is that drive – the transfer speed is way too slow. What exact computer do you have? What ports do you have on it?
