Hello!
I havean Audient ID4 and want to record my guitar with it. My DAW is Cakewalk Sonar Professional (2017 version I think).
I use EZ Mix 2 for amp simulation…when I use it in standalone mode I play the guitar without latency but recording it in Sonar causes problems.
Track 1: drum midi with Superior Drummer 3 as VST
Track 2-10: different tracks for recording guitar. Each track goes to a bus with EZ Mix2 in it…then I set Track 1 (drums) to solo and the track I am recording my guitar in.
Some parts are ok but fast downpicking causes a short delay. I cannot record properly because what I hear is slower than what I am playing.
Is this because of Audient ID4? Or Sonar? Or EZ Mix 2?
Win 7, 64 bit, 16 GB Ram. My normal soundcard is a M-Audio Delta 1010LT Asio but when recording guitars I use the Audient so the Delta should not matter.
Before buying the Audient I had an old Line 6 POD XT from 2004 and recording worked without problems.
Looking forward to your reply!
Thanks,
Leander
