Kick drum cutting out

ok here is my setup:

Pearl Rythym traveler w/mesh heads, Red Shot DDrum triggers, Alesis DM5 module. For the hi-hat, I attached a piezo to a plastic cymbal. Here is the problem; when I play the HH along with the kick drum, the kick cuts out on like every other beat. If I play just the bass alone it is fine, and or when I play the ride(trigger pad) along with the kick it is fine, so for some reason the HH is cancelling out the kick. Any thoughts on what is causing this and how to fix it?

This could be to do with the crosstalk settings in your DM-5…..If the settings are incorrect and your module receives a low level and high level trigger signal simultaneously it will cancel the lower level signal

Thanks Grandaddy. It was the gain. The HH was way too high. All is well now.
