Issue with Toontrack's beats

I’ve used Toontrack for years.   The issue I have is that most of their beats are heavy metal and rock.   I play neither.  They are sorely lacking when it comes to grooves like soul, R&B, funk.

I want grooves along the lines of Steely Dan, Michael McDonald, smooth jazz – stuff like that.   They have none.  Their Funkmasters is pretty bad (as in not good).   Too much repetition of the same bad groove.  They need to stop having a ton of grooves all playing basically the same thing.   Have a lot of different grooves in one MIDI pack.

BTW, since you have both EZdrummer 2 and SD3, you know you can preview all Toontrack MIDI by enabling the ‘Shop Web Shop MIDI’ button?

I see your point, you are right. But honestly, if rock is what you’re aiming for, Toontrack is off the charts, so in my opinion, it’s worth it.
