Follow up question, will SD3 be able to load EZ2 kits?

Obviously if so, I am aware they will not magically get all the surround and extra room functionality. But will the EZ2 kits load into SD3?

Thing is for me I own SD2 plus all kits and EZ2 plus almost all kits. Quite a lot of investment.

It will be great to be able to consolidate everything into one instance now. SD3.

Can’t wait until the actual release! Thank you.

    Info & Contact

Windows 10 Pro (4K). Intel i7. 64GB RAM. RME FF UCX. UAD2 QUAD.

Yes of course. S3 can load all SDXs, EZXs, Producer Preset Packs, and Drum MIDI packs.

Great News! 🙂 Then I don’t need to have both EZD2 and SD2 installed, when buying SD3!!

…except for compatibility with your already existing DAW projects!

Well, you’ll want to keep them for backwards compatibility of projects as well as using the default kits from EZD2 in S3 if you want to.

It will be interesting to see SD3 wipe the floor with most kontakt drum libraries now that we can use 3rd party samples. I’ve always hated using kontakt for drums.
