I own and use the SD3 and a number of SDX packs. I still find it a bit daunting to put together a full drum SD3 production based on a music project. After looking at both Suno Studio and Moises AI Studio I feel that this is where DAWs and their AI plugins are headed. While AI music is in its early phases of development you can see where this track is headed. Instead of just generating a whole production using a prompt, these cloud app companies are developing AI Studio DAWs that drill down on a per track instrument level based on per track prompts and or selections. It is really just the beginning of AI DAWS and they are not nearly as refined as current non AI DAWs. However that will probably soon change. Is Toontracks going to follow this trend or not? Its been four years now since they released EZD3 along with the Bandmate feature. I posted a similar AI question in the past but saw no response from Toontracks. IMO most of the public cannot tell what is what in terms of music production and how it was done. While I do not like the fact that AI music is a ‘thing’, if music production is moving towards an AI Studio DAW, at least there is more human input and involvement into the process that can incorporate both AI and human decisions on a higher level. What do others think?
AI will always be a “regression to the mean” in terms of creativity.
The very fact that it samples and absorbs the average of a huge number of performances, and produces something representing the “average” of these performances means it will always produce average ( as in mediocre) performances!
Memorable musical performances with longevity will usually include an element of the unusual, the left field, the unexpected, even creative mistakes, something an AI generated performance is unlikely to include.
I think of AI performances as a tribute act to real music. They can be impressive and entertaining, but they will always be, by definition, derivative.
i would have no problem with Toontrack including more AI based capabilities in SD3, as long as I can turn it off in my copy!

Hi,
I am afraid you will never receive a reply from a Toontrack official, speculating in future products and development. Toontrack never engages in such discussions on the Forum.
When a new product is revealed, it is done via the main site and/or official news letters.
If you have a suggestion/request for improvement (which is always welcome) on an existing product, you might get a reply in the line of “we will add this to the user requests list”.
Actual bugs is a different matter.
Thank you,
John
