invalid serial # and key

I purchased EZ DRUMMER 2.O and NASHVILLE EXPAN.from musician friends with it being a download. got the email conformation with serial # and key to both. It said go to toontrack and enter info and download, guess what? invalid # and key!!!!! Called M.F. and basically said theres nothing we can do. CONTACT TOONTRACK to resolve this issue can someone help please?
