importing a stereo audio track then convert to separate midi files

hello,

I can’t seem to find this anywhere, sorry if it is obvious.

I wonder if superior drummer can import a stereo drum file and if it will then convert the different instruments on that stereo file (snare kick, hat etc)  into their own separate midi files that can them be manipulated?

Yes it is possible. I’ve done it many times myself. But you have to be willing to just get the groove of the kick and the snare maybe a hi-hat groove and the Tom’s are sometimes a go….. but you have just keep re-eqing the track for those different instruments and then put them through the tracker.

How that helps…. You will have to do a lot of manipulating sometimes to get the groove also..
