I still use EZ Drummer 1, all the expansion pacs now say EZ 2, can I use them?

I’m still using EZD  1 , I see now that all the expansion pacs say they are for EZ 2.  Will they run in EZD 1?

Hi,

 

EZX libraries developed for EZdrummer 2 will not work with EZdrummer 1.

All EZdrummer 1 EZX libraries will work with EZdrummer 2, Superior Drummer 2 and Superior Drummer 3

So there are no longer any EZDrummer libraries available?

The requirements of each EZX states if you can run them with EZdrummer 1 or if you need to have EZdrummer 2.

E.g. the Americana, the Claustrophobic, the Drumkit From Hell, the Electronic, the Funkmasters, the Indie Folk, the Jazz and the Latin Percussion EZX, to name some, have a minimum requirement of EZdrummer 1.4.

At the bottom of each EZDrummer expansion (EZX) product description page,
there is a System Requirements banner. I’ve attached 2 examples.
One taken from the “Electronic EZX” & one taken from the “Post-Rock EZX”

PS. I have not verified that every EZX product description page contains a current System Requirements banner.

A bullet point in the EZDrummer2 Release Notes, as of 2018-09-05,
states “that EZdrummer 2.1.7 is required for EZX expansion packs released from this point forward (Q3 2018)“.

No you can’t go backwards and install EZD 1.4 over EZD2. The Latin Percussion EZX is compatible with EZD 1.4 and EZD2.
