I am writing to ask if there is any possibility of purchasing or obtaining a legitimate license for EZdrummer 2.
I own two older Mac computers that I still use as dedicated music production machines:
- MacBook Pro Mid-2010, Intel Core 2 Duo, 8 GB RAM
- Mac Pro 1.1, with 32 GB RAM
Both machines are running OS X Mavericks 10.9, and they are part of my working music studio. I understand that EZdrummer 3 requires a newer version of macOS and therefore cannot run on these computers.
For this reason, EZdrummer 2 would be the ideal solution for me. I understand that it has been discontinued, but I would like to know whether Toontrack still has any way for a new customer to legally purchase a license, register an unused legacy serial number, or otherwise obtain EZdrummer 2 for use on these older systems.
I am specifically looking for a fully legitimate solution and would be happy to purchase a license directly from Toontrack if that is possible.
Could you please let me know:
- Is there any way to purchase a new legitimate EZdrummer 2 license today?
- If I find an unused, unregistered EZdrummer 2 serial number from an authorized old stock, can it still be registered to my Toontrack account?
- After registering a valid EZdrummer 2 license, would the compatible legacy installers still be available for download?
- Which version of EZdrummer 2 would you recommend for OS X Mavericks 10.9?
I would greatly appreciate any help or guidance you can provide. I would really like to continue using Toontrack products on my older dedicated studio computers.
