Greetings All,
I am a guitarist who recently purchased SD3 and though I love percussion, I’m more than overwhelmed by this amazing and detailed program. Brain implosion. I’m trying to learn how to get started using YouTube videos but if you have any suggestions for other sources for full beginners that would be great. My first question is:
When you select a groove and pull it down into the block structure area below, how do you directly edit it? For example, when I select a Funk groove such as “Verse05 Funky 16ths,” there is a fill that happens at the end of the bar with a few snare strikes etc. How would I remove that fill (or do other changes)? When I go into grid editor, I can’t find that fill in the snare line. Also when I tried to just experiment by deleting snare strikes from various bars, it didn’t change the drumline at all, making me even more confused : (
Many thanks in advance for your help!
Groove3.com has 3 full Superior Drummer 3 video courses that go from beginner to advanced. Highly recommend these.

Thanked by: SunKing968CSDouble click the header on the song (groove) block. In the pop up, click on the groove editor. The manual is a great place to start, along with the YT vids. https://www.toontrack.com/manual/superior-drummer-3/
Cheers.

Thanks for your fast response! However, when I klick on the groove block (in the section at the bottom) it comes up with “grid editor,”, not “groove editor.” Is this what you meant, or am I just failing to find the “groove” editor?
Thanks!
