Help a Novice!

Man this is so intimidating,  where do I begin.  How are there not any fundamental instructions on how to hook this puppy up, as in, which cables go where? I have a Roland TD 17KVX with USB cable running straight into my MacBook Pro.  I have the Roland TD 17 selected and everything, the 17 is selected as the midi device, the output device I have set as The TD-17,  I am just not getting any sounds I cannot hear anything from superior drummer three. Help?

Have you tried selecting the MacBook as your output device?

I haven’t installed on my Mac, but I’m sure things work better on a Mac than on a pc.

My system goes Drum module into PC as Input device, then my Focusrite scarlet as output device, where I plug in my headphones.

Btw, buying a scarlet is one solution to the recurring “can’t hear two audio sources on pc while using Asio4all”.
