Me and a friend made this song last weekend. All was written, recorded, mixed and produced within some 20 hours (lunch and dinner breaks included). The short time that was available to us probably shows in small flaws here and there, but we are still quite happy with the outcome!
For drums, we used EX Drummer 2. Guitar was a Schecter seven string Jeff Loomis signature model. Used a Peavey 5150 for the rhythm guitars. For cleans and solo, Amplitube 3. Kind of regret this, especially with respect to the solo but adjacent to the studio was a bedroom where people were trying to sleep about the time it came to tracking the solo. One of the many limitations of being a home recording amateur.
