hats – crash problems

hi!

after two weeks playng with my td12 and sd2.1, i have noticed two thing.

1. the open bow sounds the same as the open edge.

it is normal , or i have missed something??? the midi mapping is the original found on sd2 with “e drum” selected.

2. crash

if i play hard is all ok.
but i have noticed that on the crash, there’s only a difference of volume while i’m playing from soft to hard.

in an acoustic crash if i hit the bow very soft and so on, there are a lots of different sound response .

could anyone give me a tip for that problems?

1)  The default Avatar kit has the same open sounds for bow and edge….the closed and tight articulations have different bow and edge samples.  The NY lagacy Vol II has separately recorded  hits for bow and edge at all levels of openness
 
2)  The crash is only recorded with edge samples….there have been requests in the past from users for bow samples as well, so keep your fingers crossed for future libraries
