Hi, I have been having this issue since I can’t remember when. I have the latest update on SD3 and my DAW is reaper. (Latest update) win 10 is also completely up to date.
As soon as I go into grid mode my DAW stops responding properly the meters stop working, my MIDI controller stops working, I’m trying to listen and do live editing and it gets to be incredibly tedious to work with this issue.
I’m on win 10 with an I9 20 core 48 gig ram motherboard system.
I’ve tried every buffering technique I can think of to try to minimize this issue. It seems to work okay at the beginning of a session but if I’m in a session two or three hours later and start working on it it becomes impossible.
Plz any help would be much welcome!
Thx, Jeff

I have the same issue in LOGIC. The grid editor is a half a bar or more behind while listening. It makes it impossible to do edits as you have to guess with trial and error…
Superior Drummer 3 version: 3.2.5
Operating system: macOS Big Sur (11)
Usually for that all you have to do is put on your record and monitor functions and it will be playing in real-time.

Thx John,
Here it is.
Hi again Jeff,
I am running your Reaper Project here in Reaper 6.34 with SD3.2.5. I have tried changing different settings and combinations of screens but I simply can’t provoke the freezing meters and the Grid Editor’s out of sync playhead.
Have you been in contact with Toontrack Support yet?
BR,
John

Thx John,
It seems the support link will not let me contact them. I’ve been trying since the last time you had mentioned it.
BTW, I’m using dual screens if that makes a difference…
Could you either pass this along or see if the link has been updated yet?
Regards, Jeff
Hi,
I have asked my colleagues but if you follow this link:

and click the ‘Contact Support’ button, what happens? You should get a pop-up window asking for your details.

Thanked by: JohnNot solved over here. Can someone share how they fixed this? 32GB of RAM, i7.
EDIT: Just to clarify one or two things in case this is a different issue:
The Graphical display in Grid Editor is moving Faster than the audio. That is to say the playhead is actually moving quicker than the audio and is roughly a beat ahead of what I’m hearing, whilst the audio remains in time with the rest of the session. It’s the weirdest thing. I tried disabling all plugins and all other tracks… This wasn’t happening even just a few days ago. I turned off element bleed, ambient mics, still the same issue.
I had this happen a long time ago but had not tried it again until tonight. I can now say that this problem does not happen using Cubase Pro 11 on Windows 10, with SD3 version 3.2.4
Cubase Pro, Korg Kronos, M-50, Hammond XK-1c, Toontrack SD3, EZBass w/lots of expansions, many VSL Vi's, Shreddage 3 everything, and shit-tons of FX plugins.

Hi,
What usually solves this is putting your SD3 track on record and it follows along perfectly.
