This has become simply unusable at this point and could use some help on this from anyone that has had this issue in Win 10?

    Appreciate it, thx Jeff

I have a similar issue with the playhead in Studio One freezing whenever I am in working in the SD3 grid editor !

Seems like it’s problematic whenever two playheads run simultaneously or something !

Latest graphical drivers are used !

I can’t think of anything off hand as I’m not using Windows 10 or Reaper or Studio One. I would suggest contacting Toontrack Support directly via the Contact Support button in the FAQ below.

I had this problem when I first starting using SD3 two years ago where upon opening the grid editor everything slowed down and the playhead in SD3 would stutter, stop, and start. So, I just decided to just drag any grooves I use into Cubase Pro and edit them there. I have not tried the grid editor since but am rather surprised that the problem still exists.

Hi guys, I’ve been trying to reproduce here in Studio One but I can’t.
I am not on Windows though, so that may be part of the explanation. I am using Studio One 5.3.0.

Is there a problematic project you could zip and attach to a post here or is it all projects that are sluggish on your system?

    BR,
    John

    Thx John,

This has been on all my projects. If I start using SD3 grid mode after opening a project it works ok for several minutes but all of a sudden there seems to be a build up resistance and it starts lagging. Sometimes to the point of having to force close my project.

This has happened on both my last desktop that was an I7 with 16 gigs of ram and my current new system that is a desktop I9 20 core 48 gigs of ram. I’m using a dual screen setup but had disconnected the second screen to see if that was the issue, but no change. I have also dedicated 6 cores and even higher in the settings to run SD3. Messed with all my buffering settings in my DAW Reaper, but no change.

Have you tried setting it to 1 core in the S3 settings?

    Thx John,

I’ve updated everything after my trip and I’m still having the issue. I went back to the 1 core as Scott suggested in the last post….How do I zip a file project again to send to you guys?

    Regards, Jeff

    Hi Jeff,

just ZIP the Reaper Project, without any audio files, and attach it to a post here.

I have the same issue in LOGIC. The grid editor is a half a bar or more behind while listening. It makes it impossible to do edits as you have to guess with trial and error…
