You load the Reggae EZX library from the Orange library menu at the top right. Click and select the library. The authorization screen should then pop up.

I’m not sure about your MIDI issue. Can you post a pic so I can see what you are talking about?

I can find the library of sounds ok, but I was surprised to find that there were so few actual brats and fills. This is the screen shot showing the five roots shuffle fills. ezxreggae.JPG

And here’s the screen showing the four Jamaican Ska shuffle beats.ezxreggae2.JPG

Those all look correct in terms of groove amounts.

Really? For 69 euros, there are 9 shuffle grooves and 9 4/4 grooves? It took longer to watch the “making of” video on youtube than it took to listen to all of the grooves provided. I really appreciate your being able to respond on Christmas day by the way – I’m just very surprised at the small number of grooves….

Sorry. This being Christmas Day, I’m not at home to check my computer to see how many there are exactly. Please try using the Play Edit features and you can modify those grooves to make a limitless amount of grooves from those that you do have.

I’d really appreciate it if you could check how many grooves there should be next time you are able to and get back to me here. There are dozens of variations in the Blues pack that I bought – 9 reggae grooves for 69 euros seems like much less value. The reason for buying the reggae pack was that I don’t have much of a background in reggae – I don’t understand how to construct reggae grooves. If I were able to construct reggae grooves, I would have done so using the basic kits I already have. Enjoy the rest of your Christmas.

You don’t need to know Reggae to use the Play Edit features. See the video below. You will see that you can easily change a groove from a hats groove to a ride groove. Or make the snare busier or simpler. This library was created for EZD 2 so that may be the reason there aren’t as many grooves as other sets. Instead of having two MIDI variations, one with a ride and then the same groove with the hats, there is only one, with the expectation of using the Edit Play Style features.

Having said that, I’ll check, when I can at my earliest convenience.

Let’s please not forget that for 69 euros, you got the Reggae EZX sound library “recorded at Rub-a-Dub Studios in Stockholm, Sweden and comes with a unique and genuine collection of instruments, all handpicked for this session. It includes two full, single-headed custom drum kits, a generous selection of snares, percussion and traditional Binghi and clay hand drums.”

If you only wanted some reggae grooves to use with the basic kits you already have,
you may have been better served by buying the “Reggae Beats MIDI Pack”
(106 variations of beats, 79 fills and nearly as many intro fills) as it’s only the MIDI and no sound library.

You’re absolutely correct – it seems I have bought the wrong product – my mistake! (I’m loathe to suggest that there might be so much choice in your product range now that the outcomes risk becoming a little opaque.)

It is the Midi pack that I need, so I will buy that now. Having the EZX pack, albeit bought in error, will, no doubt, add to the authenticity…..

Is it possible to return or to deactivate the EZX Reggae pack, and to get a refund, given that it isn’t what I want or need? The Midi pack with the drum kits I already have are all I need for the projects I have planned.
