The snares sound real-raw more than EZD2 could do

it seems the best is for pop and rock  : it sounds like a real drummer in a studio

but, I am very curious to listen to the presets to see if they are up to ezd2 especially the disco pop preset, the big 80’s sound etc.

we can keep EZD2 so cool

but I think some EZX are useless now

What would have been good would have been to give the software to those who pay before May 3
through the Toontrack site (or you have 1 month to check it again)

Hello, when I buy today EZDrummer 2, I become also the Upgrade to EZDrummer 3! I have EZDrummer 2 since 2 years. Now I have to pay the Upgrade to EZDrummer 3! Why???? Musician greatings Peter Bengelmann

yes it would have been better to be a new user of EZD2 but, like many others, we are old:)

I also just bought EZD2 around 11 days go. Support confirmed in an email that “Unfortunately, no, purchases of EZdrummer 2 in March of 2022 or prior will not qualify for the free EZD3 Upgrade.”

I’m brand new to all this, but it seems that EZD3 is kind of like the biggest expansion ever for EZD2, with the all the new midi and kits it includes. In that sense the upgrade is actually a great deal compared to typical EZXs, which I was prepared to purchase more of later on. It also adds the two features I quickly noticed were most lacking: grid editor and follower (“Bandmate”).

So, I will be foregoing purchase of an additional EZX or two later, and getting the upgrade now instead. Impact to the budget will be about the same over the long run, and I can already tell that I will appreciate the new functionality.

I haven’t touched EZD2 in a long time, I use SD3 for all my drum tracks, so my first thought was “pass” when I saw the EZD 3 announcement. I looked closer at the feature set and, for $79, I will most likely pick this up.

I REALLY WANT EZK2! It is still the weak link when I write songs.

I plan on preordering as well.  I’ve been using EZ2 for over a year now mostly for triggering my ekit (the options are MUCH better than what my aging TD-9 module offer, and for a fraction of the price of upgrading to a newer module).  I also have 13 EZX expansions (got carried away on some sales, plus some forum deals) so my laptop at this point is more or less my drum module.  Just being able to resize the window will be a huge help for me!  The new sound library sounds pretty good too, so to get a new library and a huge app update for less than the cost of a single MSRP EZX makes this expansion an easy purchase for me.

there is mention of seven drum kits, “The New Sound Library.”

I cannot tell from this if there are included in the base package (upgrade from EZD 2 for example) or if it would be necessary to purchase these kits in addition to the base package.  I don’t want to pay $79 or $99 for the base package then $99 for each new kit, for example.

are included in the purchase otherwise, it would be too much because there are the ezx if you want more

Toontrack is better than some other compagnies which sell some sounds-snare

so you must pay just for one snare !

Web site says if you were new to EZDrummer that you can buy 2 now and get 3 included at release date… you should be all set.
