So I’ve been jammin’ “vultures”, and here is why it’s kinda on topic. I recorded the bass part and used the new “bandmate” and the groove came out awesome! Basically, it nails it. So I’ve just been jamming the guitar over that for quite some time. I’ve kinda put together my “go to” kit and instead of feeling that it needs something else, it’s just enjoyable. I know, it’s early but I put it up against what I have in other drums and it’s pretty impressive.

What is nice is that I hate using SD3. It sounds ok but it’s just WAY too much option paralysis for what I do. That is what I was hoping for…..so far so good. And again, the CPU use just seems sickeningly low 🙂

I still have to test it with multi outs though. But for now I just want to get used to using it. A couple of nice viddy’s out there to help explain some things. But I haven’t found a lot yet.

Oops, I don’t see a vst 2.4 .dll. Is this just vst 3? If not, where would I find that .dll?

EDIT, looks like it’s just vst 3. So no reason support. It’s kinda ok, Studio One is what I usually use. They say reason vst 3 support is coming pretty soon.

About the sounds, I will say it’s amazing but :))

    1. Some presets sound too similar and there a lot of presets so a lot sound quite the same
    2. Maybe only one  or 2 presets for metal
    3. Nothing for the 80’s (ezd 2 was good for that)
    4. Nothing for  more modern disco -funk – electronic sounds
    5. And I must say that dark matter, progressive rock, pop rock, Nashville, classic ezx, latin, gospel ezx, into the dark ezx, death metal, Americana (and custom shop ezx) are now useless : rip 🙁
    6. but I think Toontrack had already thought about these 5  previous points 🙂

It will take many hours to listen to all the sounds in action and for me there are too many presets with similar sounds

but I think  now I have all what I wanted for years

    • A great raw- natural sound for pop, rock, funk, disco funk (I think it’s good enough for disco funk too)
    • For metal – heavy metal- hard rock : I think it can work too and I have a lof of EZX expansions too

So, maybe  a lack of sound for the back in black album : not sure, big gated reverb for the 80’s?I don’t see “80’s big sound ” as a preset

So we have all we need for all the songs:)  except for SIMMONS drums and more modern electronic dance music drums

    thanks  a lot 🙂

It would be nice if there were mixer options to get rid of the stuff you don’t want to see/use. I almost never use percussion for example, it’s just using up real estate for me personally. Some of the presets are just to much mixer and I’d like to cut that down at times rather than constantly having to scroll.

Hi Phenix 2, curious why you say rest in piece to all those EZX’s ?

The Presets for EZD2 should be, or are in the Core 2 EZX installer I thought.
    – might be you need to reinstall the CORE2 EZX available in the PM.
    or
    – Might be you kept your EZD2 in tact, while install of EZD3, so EZD3 does not use the same library folder as EZD2 ?

I would be surprised if all of EZD2 did not carry over to EZD3. Though I read they are working on User Preset / Kit to follow.
