you can click on  the” refresh product list ” or command +R in the Toontrack product manager

    • if you have written  the lines in Terminal
    • only download the 2.1.8 version with the 3 black bars (in the right corner  in the t product manager) not in the full installer of t product manager
    • after that, refresh , reboot computer (maybe) and  you will only see the red button saying you can download the last version we don’t want

maybe you must write again the lines in Terminal to restart the process or contact Toontrack

I guess im stupid, but i am downloading the 2.1.8 update installer.

Then installing it. I have typed in the command in terminal, but EzD still says im using version 2.2.0.

    What am I doing wrong?

you must write the lines first

after that you can download the good version without the full installer

Please open Terminal (in Applications > Utilities) and paste the following command there:

sudo — bash -c ‘pkgutil –forget com.toontrack.ezdrummer.aax.pkg; pkgutil –forget com.toontrack.ezdrummer.vst.pkg; pkgutil –forget com.toontrack.ezdrummer.au.pkg; pkgutil –forget com.toontrack.ezdrummer.app.pkg’

Then press Return. It will prompt you for a password, so type your computer/admin password (which will be invisible) and press Return again.

Then download the version 2.1.8 software UPDATE – there’s no need to download the full installer – and select Install from the menu to the right of the download button for 2.1.8. It is important you click the menu to the right of the download and select “Install” once the download completes.”

    follow this !

    refresh

    reboot

    nothing else to do

    don’t delete the

    Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Digidesign > Plug-Ins Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Avid > Audio > Plug-Ins Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plug-ins > Components Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plug-ins > VST

i deleted them but I cancelled this to have them again

I don’t know what im d0ing wrong, but i follow every step you write, but it nothing happens. still on 2.2.0.

Damn this sucks. I am in the middle of a studio session. Traveled to a cabin for 5-6 days just to focus on music and recording. And now this shit…

Just to explain what I did:

I pasted the line you wrote, in to the terminal.

Then I downloaded and installed the 2.1.8 software update

    Then I installed it

    Refreshed (nothing changed)

    Restarted my computer.

Do I need to delete some old EzD files?

Ok, I dont get why it does not work..

I just spend like 700 dollars on Ezdrummer, Exmix and a lot of expansions. Just to arrive to my Cabin to realise that it doesnt work well with Big Sur..

Do you have any other idea what I can do?

Im not sure what you mean?

What plugin format do you need? Only other suggestion I have is pop your email address here and hope someone sends you it whilst you wait for toontrack to resolve the source of the issue.

I am  experiencing the same issue.  Logic will get the pinwheel and crash right after I stop playback in the middle of a track.  Is that when it is happening for you?  I contacted support directly through the site and never got a response from them.
