I don’t work for Toontrack. This is just a message for those who are somewhat interested in this plug in.
I am currently mixing a whole album for a friend and so just for kicks I bought EZ MIX just for a few possible xtra tricks up my sleeve.
I own aud-1 with Fairchild LA2A 1176 Cambridge EQ , and 4000 bus compressor which I love as well.
I have used the Plug on the master inserts for a little compression and Tape simulation on almost every song so far and it sounds great .
Also on the drum channels … I love the overheads preset , and the Kick presets are great . They range from categories like Basic kick 1 2 3 4 , to Metal kick 1 2 3 4 to Sub kick 1 2 3 4 etc… and there is a blend fader for all of these so it gives some great options very quickly to shine up my kicks .
I will say so far I have not cared for the snare presets as they seem to add way too much High end eq and strip away the warmth of the snare sound.
I have inserted the plug on the bass track and that was nice as well .
I have not got into all the presets yet but I just want to say.. For the money I am very happy with the product and I am glad I bought it.
