The latest version of EZdrummer can be downloaded from your Toontrack account (version 1.3.2). It contains both 32-bit and 64-bit installers. Please the ReadMe file included with the download for install instructions.

You may need to set up a VST Plugin Path in your Preferences>Effects>VST/DirectX/Rewire setup page.

I have the same problem unfortunately. I installed EZDr 2 on my Samplitude, the dll is in the VST Plugin Folder, but I can´t find the program in my Samplitude VST files. Even if I copied the dll to other directions, it may only say “failed to create vst instrument”.
    Any help?

I de- and reinstalled my EzDr2 now. I see the dll in the VST Plugin-Folder. I even scanned the Folder with Samplitude for “new PlugIns”.
It´s not working 🙁 Also installed the 32 AND the 64bit Version. Only the 64bit Version works perfect as a Standalone. The 32bit says, it is not finding the dll.
How can I include the PlugIn to Samplitude? Any advice? 5 hours of installing and reinstalling, nothing worked 🙁

    Hi,

if the 32-bit version of the Standalone does not find the .dll file, it indicated that you have moved it post install, which is unsupported.
Please move the 32-bit .dll file back to its original location.

When you set up a host to pick up the path to where the .dll file is located, it is important that you point it to the right version; i.e. if you run a 64-bit host, it needs to be pointed to the 64-bit plugin and if you run a 32-bit host, you point it to the location of the 32-bit plugin.
The Default path to the 32-bit version is:
    ‘C:Program Files (x86)VstPluginsEZdrummer.dll’
    and the 64-bit version:
    ‘C:Program FilesVstpluginsToontrackEZdrummer.dll’

    Thank you John! 🙂
I tried all your suggestions. Still it doesn´t work. I deleted everything on my PC from Toontrack now, reinstalled it again, pointed the dll to my VST Plugin Folder, where it is right now (I didn´t move or renamed it). Still my Samplitude (vers. 11.2.1.) wouldn´t find Ez Drummer in the VST list. I even scanned the folder with the VST Plugin path. It works fine as a standalone, but I can´t get it into my Samplitude.
Do you have any other options I can do? I´d really need the EZ Drummer for a Pro-Asylum-Project within the next 2 weeks.
    Thanks so much!

When I use the 32bit Version, it says it could not be found in the location expected. When i click “set Path…” and go to the folder with the dll it says: “failed to load plugin”. Samplitude also doesnt find the EZ Drummer when I install the 32bit version.
Do I have to do anything with the PLUG, PLUG64 or HOST HOST64 zipped archives?

    No,

you shouldn’t do anything with those archives, just run the installers.
What are the full paths to the .dll files on your system?

    it´s C/:VSTplugins/VSTplugins
here are all other instruments I installed, and also the EZdrummer.dll
    It´s a mystery to me…

I deinstalled everything again and even tried to delete everything I could find on my PC depending Toontracks.
I installed my EZ Drummer 2 again, but still the same problem, I cant make my Samplitude load or find the EZdrummer.dll in my plugins folder, although it´s there.
I ran out of ideas now. Is there a program to delete even the registry and everything from toontracks EZ drummer? Maybe there is the mistake. All other programs worked from the beginning (Komplete, Native, etc.)

    OK,

I think you best open a Support Ticket:

If you right-click on the EZdrummer.dll you have installed and
examine the ‘details’ tab, does it show the 32/64-bits
that you would expect? I am thinking perhaps that you might
have one overwriting the other, or something.

    Thanks John and Olle.
Even when I only install the 32 OR only the 64 Version, it´s not working.
I had a demo or lite Version of EZ drummer on my computer several years ago, but I deinstalled it.
Do you think, this could be the problem?
    (also opened a ticket)

I also ran the CCleaner (http://www.chip.de/downloads/CCleaner_16317939.html) on my computer, it also deletes wrong registry data.
Deinstalled before, installed again. Doesn´t work 🙁

    Ok.

Samplitude 11.2.1 is a 32-bit host. If you’re running Windows 7 64-bit, your 32-bit plugins should be in an ‘(x86)’ install location. For example, I have Samplitude 11.2.1 also (on a 64-bit Win7 machine), and my EZdrummer 2 (32-bit) install location is C:Program Files (x86)SteinbergVstplugins. I have Cubase 6.5 on my system so that is where I install all of my 32-bit plugins. This path is set in Samplitude.

Now, if you are setting your path to the 64-bit version of EZD2, which, if your above path is correct (that is a 64-bit location on Windows 7 64-bit), you are, I would fully expect Samplitude 11.2.1 not to open the 64-bit version of EZD2.

You’ve stated that you’ve installed the 32-bit version of EZD2. What is that 32-bit location? Can you post a screen pic of the VST/DirectX Setup menu in Samplitude that shows the VST plugin Path?
